Dr. Hornsby grew up in midtown Memphis. He worked in cancer research for several years at St. Jude’s Research Hospital. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where he obtained his DVM.
After veterinary school he practiced in Chapel Hill, NC for he and his family moved back to Tennessee. Dr. Hornsby was with VCA Animal Care Center in Mt. Juliet for 3 years, where he served as medical director. He then joined Nashville Pet Emergency Clinic to pursue his interests in small animal emergency and critical care medicine. He later served as medical director of the emergency clinic.
Dr. Hornsby is overjoyed to be back home in Memphis working alongside Dr. J.D. Williams at Grace. Dr. Williams was his family veterinarian before veterinary college and he is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with him. Dr. Hornsby and Dr. Williams share a strong commitment to providing compassionate, honest, and comprehensive veterinary care to our community. Dr. Hornsby is joined in Memphis by his wife, Erin, their two children, Evie and Hayden, and three very spoiled dogs Manny, Buster, and Althea.
